Generative AI in Veterinary Education: Opportunities and Challenges
Veterinary education faces a critical moment. Generative AI has arrived, but veterinary educators and students are still figuring out how to effectively adapt to this evolving landscape. How can educators harness the benefits of this technology without compromising student readiness or academic integrity? In this webinar, participants will gain practical insights into the appropriate uses and potential misuses of Large Language Models (LLMs) within veterinary education. The session includes clear, hands-on examples covering course design, active learning strategies, creation of quality assessments, personalized feedback, and improved board exam preparation. Participants will also explore key challenges such as slow adoption rates, unclear guidelines, and student anxiety around accusations of cheating. Join this discussion to learn how veterinary educators can better prepare the next generation of veterinarians for an AI-driven marketplace.
